AVW Drop Adjustable Spring Plates For 49-59 Early VW Bug Aircooled Vintage Works

The old way of lowering your VW bug and dealing with an unsettling ride is over! The future is here and with it comes our all new AVW Dropped Adjustable Spring Plates. In the past to drop your car you would reindex the spring plates to drop the rear of your ride but this created tow in which eats up tires and makes the rear end twitchy, not to mention it unloads the tension on the torsion bars and causes the rear of the car to bounce and sway.

Those days are over now! After a year of development we have created what we believe to be the perfect spring plate for lowering your VW Bug. We use a graceful circular shape to maintain strength in the plate while building into them a 2 or 3 inch drop over stock. The plate sits in the stock position so the preload on the torsion bars is just like stock! We also include the ability to adjust the plate by almost an extra inch without moving the spring plate from the stock position. This will help to account for cars that may have a lean in them on one side or the other due to years of use. 

Our plates are fully CNC Laser cut for a precision fit and consistency. Adjuster blocks are CNC machined and all welds are TIG welded for good looks and the ultimate in strength. Our plates are fully powder coated in Matte Black and all come with CNC Laser cut and powder coated spring plate cap spacers.
